European Ultimate Championships 2007

What is Ultimate?

Ultimate is a fast, exciting team sport. Players may not run while holding the disc, but instead must use a range of throws - quick short passes, long bombs or scything overheads - to pass to their team-mates. You can expect to see diving catches, high interceptions in crowds of players and flat-out sprints for the scoring endzones.

A unique feature of ultimate is that even at the highest level there are no referees. Players call their own fouls and infringements, and everyone is expected to play fairly - this does away with the rule-bending and even cheating that other sports can suffer from.
